Abstract

ABSTRACT Pregnancyanemiaisacondition ofmotherswithHblevelsbelow11g/dlinfirstandthirdtrimesterorlevels <10.5 g / dl in second trimester.Incidence of anemia in pregnancy can be minimized, onewaywith by giving iron tablets, along with obediently of pregnant women consuming the iron tablets. This research purposetoidentifyobediently consuming irontabletswithimprovementlevelsofhemoglobininthird trimester pregnantcy. Design used in this research is analytic observational, with prospective cohort approach. As the population isthe entire third trimester pregnantwomenwhose came check upANC. The sample amount 36 pregnant women in third trimester polypregnantcy RSAL that match with the criteria inclusion which selected by probability sampling technique with Simple Random sampling approach. Instrument research using observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analyzed using chisqure test. Theresultsofthisresearchfoundthatasmanyas19pregnantwomenobidient consume irontablets hasimprovement levels of Hb, 15 were not obedient the Hb did not increase, and 2 people did not obedient consuming iron tablet the Hb level were increasing, but experienced an increase in Hb. Through Chi-Square test showed there is any relationship about obediently consuming iron tablets with improvement levels of Hb with a significance level of =0.000 ( <0.05). The implications of this research is there is any relationship about obediently consuming iron tablets with improvment levels of hemoglobin. So, obediently consuming iron tablets should be applied by all parties, especiallypregnantwomentoincreaseHblevels andminimize the incidence ofanemia.
