Abstract

Abstract Communication in the family needs to be build harmoniously in order to build a good education in the family. The relations with the child’s parents are said to be qualified if both parties have a good relationship in the sense of being able to understand each other, mutual understanding, mutual trust and care for one another. Design used in this study is a descriptive analytical cross sectional. The population was used as much as 395 respondents,while samples to be taken using criteria of inclusion as much as 199 respondents who where in high school hang tuah 1 Surabaya. The variable in this study is a model of communication and teenagers parents knowledge about sexuality. The research result obtained that the model of communication with parents of teenagers with knowledge on sexuality 68,7% with interaksiional communication model with the knowledge that good enough knowledge, compared to 28,3% and 3% less knowledge. Contingency Coefficient test shows through relationship model of communication with parents about teen sexuality knowledge in high school Hang Tuah 1 Surabaya ρ = 0,00 (ρ < 0,05). The implications of this research shows parent communication model can increase knowledge about tennagers sexuality. So the parents are more open to their children could solve the problem by discussing with the family.
