Abstract

Abstract : Working mothers can influence the nutritional status of children. Nutritional status is a condition that is influenced between the intake of nutrients in food and the needs needed by the body. Nutritional status is very important for the process of growth and development of children. The nutritional status of a toddler is influenced by several factors such as parenting. The research design uses an Analytical Observational with Cross Sectional approach. Samples taken using the Simple Random Sampling technique obtained as many as 40 respondents in the mother group working as shellfish peeler. The instrument of this study used the Feeding Pattern questionnaire and Nutrition Status assessment using the Anthropometry observation sheet. The data was analyzed using Spearman's Rho test. The results showed that there was a relationship between feeding parenting in working as a shellfish peeler on the nutritional status of children. The Spearman Rh Rho test results ρ = 0,000 (ρ <0.05). The implication of this research is that there is a relationship between the parenting style of the mother working as a shellfish peeler on the nutritional status of the toddler. So that it is expected that the research respondents can improve on the provision of toddler feeding parenting that is lacking by paying attention to the nutritional needs of toddlers for their growth. Keywords: Nutritional Status, Eating practices, Working Mother.
