Abstract
Diphtheria is a disease caused by Corynebacterium diphtheriae. In 2012 when the Province of East Java to Extraordinary Events of Diphtheria, there are some territory with most patients were Bangkalan, Situbondo, Jombang and Surabaya. This study design is an applied research that is used to apply an develop science in which the theory is applied in the field of health statistics. The data used is secondary data drawn from District Health SubDepartement Bangkalan in 2013. In this research using regression analysis. The results showed that comparison the human resources versus the target number of immunization (p value = 0.048) and immunization coverage have a relationship with the incidence of diphtheria in Bangkalan (p value = 0.041). Human Resources is a health provider spearheading an immunization services. It would be ineffective ratio between human resources does not balanced. In theory, high immunization coverage is expected to reduce the incidence of the disease are immunization coverage are immunized. The full immunization coverage have a significant influence on the case of diphtheria. The result of this study are expected to be input for the Provincial Health Office Bangkalan East Java, especially in improving health promotion in order to reduce cases of diphtheria in East Java.
