Abstract

Diseases of protein energy is one of the important nutritional. The increasing incidence of protein energy malnutrion Sukodono region is less precise processing of food, lack of a varied menu and eating the wrong procedure. Positive Deviance Hearth taught through the provision of food, childcare, hygiene and health care that can increase the weight so that toddlers can alter her nutritional status. The design of this study is true experiment (Pretest-posttest control group design). Population that is in use is a total of 36 respondents, 18 respondents in the treatment group and control group 18 responden. local nutrition service point carried out for 2 weeks with weight control infants. Technical analysis of data on the use of Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test and Mann-Whitney U test. The results showed that an increased in the nutritional status of the protein energy malnutrion toddlers. In the treatment group improved nutritional status of 10 well-nourished infants and 8 toddlers with Lightweight protein energy malnutrion. Results in getting that through the Positive Deviance Hearth effective on nutritional status of children protein energy malnutrion attested by the results of statistical tests Test Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test showed ρ = 0.002 < α = 0.05 before and after the treatment group and the Mann-Whitney U Test test shows ρ = 0.043 < α = 0.05 in the treated group and control group after post. Looking at these results it can be sure that the Positive Deviance make effective through the nutritional status of children protein energy malnutrion. We are suggested in the protein energy malnutrion toddlers or parents who have toddlers can take advantage of protein energy malnutrion Positive Deviance by local nutrition service point to increase body weight and nutritional status of children.
