Abstract

Abstract Background : Respiratory distress was major problem in the first day of life the newborn. The severity measured by down score. Bubble CPAP was used to help RDS newborn. The aim of this research was to identify efectivity of Bubble CPAP to Down Score in neonates with severe RDS. Method : This research was use pre-experiment with one group pre test post test design. The population ware all of the neonates with severe RDS in NICU. The samples are 17 respondents taken by consecutive sampling technique. Instrument was observation sheet of down score. Result : The results of wilxocon sign rank test, show ρ = 0.000. Its means Bubble CPAP was effective to reduce Down Score In Neonates with RDS. Conclussion : Bubble CPAP was effective to help newborn with severe RDS. Its showed smaller score in measurement by down score after using Bubble CPAP. This research recommend bubble CPAP for RDS newborn treatment. Keyword : Bubble CPAP, down score, RDS.
